SICK!

Lindsey is either having really bad issues with her asthma, or she has a nasty case of the cold. She was up and down all night last night, an dI didn't get to sleep until 5 am, which at that point I shook my husband and said "Can you PLEASE take over so I can sleep?!" and he did, which was nice of him. So I got to sleep from 5 to 9. I'm dying, I'm so tired, but I can't nap!

So Linds is on the couch watching TV, I'm on the computer as always. Dan got me an iPod FINALLY! I'm so excited. It's green :)

My BFF is coming down next month, from the 25th to the 29th. I'm happy that she will be around to see what Greenville is all about. Perhaps she will like it enough to stay!

Tuesday night I went out to my girlfriend's for a margarita party. That was a lot of fun, I met someone new, and had a fantastic time with my friends. I brought pink lemonade margaritas that accidently got mixed with whole strawberries...and they were amazing! I need to make another pitcher to just have :) I always have a great time with my friends.

Tonight we have an organizer meeting for our moms group. We're headed over to our assistant organizer's house where the kids can play while we sit an figure out what events to do next month...because next month starts tomorrow! I love this group of women...our inner circle of organizers are my best friends and I talk to them all frequently. They make my life down here so much more enjoyable!

So now I am off to medicate my chica, and do some homework. Hope that everyone has a great weekend!

House not happening

I am so devestated. The house did not pan out, there is way too many issues with the house that we don't want to deal with when buying our first home. It was perfect, but it's just not going to happen. I'm tempted to just tell Dan to wait, let's buy a home in about 6 months, we can pay off some debt and maybe get approved for some more money...I'm so sad :(

We are homeowners!

Dan and I are about to be homeowners, our offer was accepted on Saturday! So now we have to get through the joys of the inspections, the appraisals, the signing of our names...but by January 31st, we will have our home.

We are so excited!!

New Years Resolutions

Here are my New Years Resolutions.

  • Lose 35 pounds before May 11th, our 5 year wedding anniversary.
  • Find a house!!
  • Become more organized...I doubt this.
  • Complete Lindsey's third year scrapbook
  • Get into the Radiology program.

For the first one, I am starting Weight Watchers this week. My insurance gives a discount, so that is super cool. For the house, I think we might have found it, but if possible, I'd like to get into it soon! As far as getting organized, I want to start making lists for each day. I think this will help a lot. I want to try to do scrapping once a week. And then for the radiology program, I need to get my volunteer hours in, that will give me a bunch more points on the admission, so I need to get on that.

AND THEN...

I want to get a job too---hopefully I can find something soon!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year!! We had a fantastic time at John and Janna's, ringing in the New Year. We had fun with the kids, had excellent food catered in by Mutt's BBQ, fantastic drinks poured by John himself, and danced into the New Year (somewhere there is a criminalizing movie of Janna and I doing the YMCA---and I can't find it!!) Here are some pics!!

The kids got to have their balloon drop so they could ring in the new year too! They danced, they played with the balloons, they drank sparkling cider, it was a really cute thing to do for our kids. Lindsey is in the cloud pajamas, Skylar is in the nightgown (she's Stormy and Shawn's daughter) and Hailey is in the flowered jammies (she is Janna and John's daughter. Also they have Heather, but she isn't in the pic)

Here's John and Shawn...John makes these really fantastic "Bos teas" that really creep up on you, so one minute you are all good, the next minute, you are needing help to go sit down because you've just totally lost all sense of reality. Now THAT'S a good drink!!

I think that Shawn and I had the same amount of Bos teas...but dang...they hit him like a ton of bricks...hehe.

Dan and I have happily rung in the new year for six straight years now!! It's hard to believe that we have been together for that long, but it's true!! What we do on New Years always changes, but what never changes is that he is always the one that I want to be kissing when the ball drops...sappy, I know, but it's true!! :)

May your 2008 be as wonderful as you make it!!
