Ah, food

I'm starting to feel better now...thank GOD. That whole week of throwing up was not nice. My house is a pigsty, it kind of smells, and I have so much homework to do it isn't even funny!!

On another note, I am pleased to announce that my best friend from high school is 10 weeks pregnant with her first baby! She is due right around Valentine's Day----very cool. It's neat to go through this with her.

We're staying busy with school, work and playing, though it's been SOOOOO hot outside we can't even play outside the house. I'm hoping to get Lindsey out some time next week to play at Monkey Joe's or something...get some of this energy out, she is driving me CRAZY!!!

Soooo sick

For the past three and a half days, I have had something wrong with my stomach. I was hoping that it was just a bug, and that it wasn't morning sickness again. And I still think it might be. I just can not keep ANYTHING down, except liquids, so I'm eating lots of soup and drinking lots of slimfast...the doc told me the vitamins in it are good for Jakey.

I've been doing some shopping around for the baby, we've picked out his crib set, and also the swing, playpen, bouncy seat, etc. WOOT! I pick up the swing this weekend and the playpen next weekend. Now all I need is the bouncy seat and I am good to go...WOOT! We decided on "Go Baby Go" for our son's nursery, I am getting very excited about it. Our goal is to have everything bought and ready by the middle of September, because we found out today that they are taking out my cerclage at 36 weeks, which will be the 1st of October! YAY! I will still be induced and most likely can still have a natural delivery. Plus, maybe at 36 weeks I can have a normal sized baby rather than a 10-pound heifer!

Baby was healthy and happy today at the ultrasound, I don't have another U/S until the 29th, I will be 27 weeks along and we will get some growth measurements!

I signed up for fall classes today, they start mid-August and run through mid-December. I'm taking American Government, American History and Spanish II---thankfully they are all online. I think it will be neat to take gov't during an election year...OBAMA 08!!

Have a great weekend!

25 weeks!

Only 15 weeks to go until my due date!

We saw Dr. Greig today, and got to see Jake. He had his face in placenta again, but at least this time the sonographer TRIED to get some pics. They are really blurry, but he definitely has the "Dan nose" and the "Beckie cheeks". He was sucking on his fingers which was really cute. We didn't do growth, but everything down there is looking good, shortening a little but apparently nothing to worry about.

Talked to him about my mood swings and my irritability. He gave me a prescription for anti-depressants (SSRIs) but I'm hesitant to take them because of the risk to Jake. He can get just as dependant on them and that's not good, plus, you can't take them when you are breast-feeding. Maybe I just need to stay away from everyone and not talk to anybody---I have this terrible ability to put my foot in my mouth...it's embarrassing and I say the wrong things...I don't mean to but I don't THINK before I talk.

I don't know what to do!

Work

I hate that I am not allowed to work, even if I wanted to. I can't help with the added expenses that we have with a high risk pregnancy. We go for ultrasounds every week, and those are expensive. I've been in the hospital 6 days out of the past 7 weeks. That's soooo expensive. The least I could do is get a part time job to help out, but I physically CAN NOT work.

So my poor husband is now working 10 hour days (and travels an hour each way) and he has to work Saturday. He'll put in some good overtime, but still. It's not fair to him, but all he says is "It's my job, Beck"...he does it without complaining. I do everything I can to keep everything at home from stressing him out...but it's hard for me to do when I can't lift or anything...

ARGH baby!

We had a growth ultrasound today, and they thought we might be able to get some 3-D pics, but Jake has his face buried in the placenta. ARGH. But, there's good news, my cervix continues to lengthen and he is growing like MAD! I am 24 weeks today and he is measuring anywhere from 24 weeks 5 days to 25 weeks 6 days. YAY!

Things are looking up for baby!

4th of July

We had a great time last night in downtown Greenville watching the fireworks. We saw friends, then met up with Chris, Stephanie and their family for watching the fireworks. It was really windy though, so we got covered in ashes. We had a good time, but I can't walk very far without resting because it get cramps. We had grabbed some subs and enjoyed walking around and hanging out downtown.

Tonight we are going to a Greenville Drive baseball game, that should be a lot of fun. I especially love the cotton candy there!!
